Day 1: Arrive in Uganda at Entebbe International Airport

At Entebbe International airport you will meet our company 7 Days Uganda Tour representative to transfer you to your hotel for check in. You will be briefed about the country and the entire safari and relax at the Hotel.

Stay at Victoria Royal Beach Hotel/ 2 Friends Guest House/ Protea Hotel

Day 2: Rhino tracking, visit the top of the falls

The day is characterized by a main activity; a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where the Rhinos – a species that got extinct during the turbulent years of Uganda’s political history is bred before being released back in wilderness of Murchison and Kidepo Valley parks where they had existed before. The rhinos were introduced from Kenya and United States on a 70 square kilometer land area which offers good views of animals by the visitors.

After this activity, go for lunch and proceed to National Park. Entering through Kichumbanyoba gate, you will enjoy views of the baboons roaming around the track as we drive through Budongo Forest. Many primates can be seen on the way; Black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and vervets.

Visit the top of the falls and have a great view of the world’s powerful waterfalls as the Nile waters fight through a 7-metre width gorge which is 45 meters deep. Here about 400 cubic metres of water find its way out to go for 28 kilometers until it empties to Lake Albert. Drive to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 3: Morning Game drive and boat cruise. An option of hiking to the top of the falls

An Early game drive is made on the northern bank of River Nile after a ferry crossing. The park is dotted with Borassus palms, acacia species that are food to elephants and Roth child’s Giraffes, the drive allows us to see elephants, savanna cape buffaloes, Lelwell’s Harte beests, Uganda kobs.

Birds like African hippos, Martial eagles, White backed vultures. Elusive cats like lions and leopards can luckily be seen close to the delta where river Nile enters into Lake Albert. The climax of this game drive is summarized by the view of numerous semi- aquatic hippos at the “hippo pool” where they rest from after an overnight grazing.

An afternoon boat cruise on the waters of the Nile where the falls are visited from downstream. A variety of animals like water bucks, elephants can be seen. The Nile crocodile can be seen basking on the banks of the river. There are 2 options: Hike to the top of the falls and see how the world’s most powerful falls grow from the bottom to the top, or ride back to the jetty by the launch.

The top of the falls marks the climax of the 7 Days Uganda Tour. At the falls you experience a 45-metre thunderous 400 cubic meters of water dropping as it squeezes through a 7-meter narrow rock gorge at a very high speed. In the evening a transfer is made to the accommodation units of the preferred choice.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park


After breakfast, you will travel to Kibale Forest national park. The journey will take almost 10 hours’ drive. This 7 Days Uganda Tour journey will take you through the verdant country side of the Albertine Escarpment. Also, you will pass by Hoima homesteads for a clear view of the true African culture.  Have views of the vast tea plantations along the way. Lunch will be held en route in Hoima town or Fort portal town. Proceed with the journey to reach the world’s primate capital – Kibale in the late afternoon.

Overnight stay at Chimp Guest House (mid-range)/ Kibale Forest Cottages (Mid-range)/Ndali lodge or primates lodge for Luxury.

Meal plan: Lunch enroute or packed lunch from the previous lodge and dinner at the lodge.

Day 5: Chimp trek and Bigodi Community/Swamp Walk

After breakfast, you will set out for the morning briefing of the Chimpanzee tracking activity at Kanyachu the Park Headquarters and later after this, you will enter the forest to search for the man’s closest wild cousins the chimps and all trackers must be above 18 years of age. The experience you will get when you are with these chimps, will enable you figure out the similarities between the Chimps and Man.

Besides the chimps, you will also be able to see other primate species such as the grey cheeked manga beys, olive baboons and vervet monkeys. Return back to the Lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon go for the community and swamp walk in Bigodi. You will have chance to become an African for that moment as you will see how they prepare food, coffee and how they brew local bear and local gin.

Get involved into what they do and proceed to the local traditional fore-tellers and craft makers but miss not the black smith. After this 7 Days Uganda Tour experience proceed to the swamp. Here the guide will provide details about the flora and fauna that you will encounter and then after, you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 6: Transfer to Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Do a boat cruise on Kazinga channel

Drive northwards to Kasenyi Plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Passing through the woodlands of the park adjacent to Maramagambo forest where you may see lots of rare and common primates like the blue monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, etc.

Reach in the afternoon and check-in at the lodge and have lunch or drive straight to the jetty of Kazinga channel to start the boat-ride on the channel depending on the time of arrival to the park. At the Kazinga Channel you will see lots of aquatic life including the giant Nile crocodiles, hippos cooling their bodies, monitor lizards, many water birds like terns, kingfishers, herons, cormorants, etc.

Sometime we see elephants swimming and cape buffaloes swallowing gallons of water. After this activity do a hazy game drive as you proceed to the lodge, however there is an option of driving through the craters for a beautiful view of the park and the magical craters or just go straight to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 7: Do an early Morning game drive and drive to Kampala

Enjoy an early morning game drive along Kasenyi tracks of this “medley of wonders”. Some of the animals you will see include Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa water bucks, leopard, spotted hyenas, kobs, warthogs, as well as lions and many birds.

After this activity, drive back to Kampala of Entebbe for your flight. Reaching in the evening, you will pass through big towns like Mbarara, Lyantonde and Masaka. Time allowing, you may stop at the equator and do some shopping of souvenirs to take home.

Meal plan: Lunch enroute at Mbarara or at the Equator.

Booking Terms and Conditions

Reservations

  • We require a deposit of 50% of the total 7 Days Uganda Tour cost for the clients to safeguard the reservations and gorilla and Chimpanzee tracking permits in case they are involved.
  • The balance should be paid 1 month prior to the arrival.
  • For bookings coming one month before departure, we shall require the full payment of the tour costs.
  • The payment is made by international money transfer to the company bank account in Uganda.

Important Information

  • 7 Days Uganda Tour tariffs are based on all known costs and rates of exchange at the time of the transfer, any significant changes beyond will be immediately communicated to our clients.
  • We also retain the right to alter any arrangements due to local conditions. We also retain the right to refuse any person from participating or continuing any tour if that person causes or is deemed to cause hazard or inconvenience to other clients and to our environment and ecosystems.
  • Please note that in Uganda US dollar banknotes series before year 2006 are accepted only with a low exchange rate, therefore clients are advised to travel to Uganda with more recent banknotes series.  The same applies to banknotes below 50 USD.
