On the 2 Days Mabira Forest Tour, Source of The Nile, White-Water Rafting, & Ziplining Trip to Uganda, you will take a nature walk in Mabira Forest, the biggest tropical rain forest in Central Uganda which will take you through a secondary and primary forest to Griffin Falls in the middle of the forest. You may also do the Zipline at a height of 40 meters under the canopy of the trees! From here you will proceed to the source of the World’s longest River – the Mighty Nile.

Day 1: Mabira Rain Forest
Morning drive from either Entebbe town or Kampala City depending on where you spent the previous and drive to Mabira Forest, east of Kampala. Mabira Forest is the biggest rain forest in Central Uganda with a considerable amount of biological diversity which include, mammals like Red-tailed monkeys, Grey-cheeked manga-beys, birds like Great blue turacos, Black and White casqued horn bills, rare birds like Nahan’s Francolins, Cassin’s
Hawk Eagle, Purple-throated cuckoo shrike, trees, butterflies and many others can be seen. Ecotourism activities carried out in this jungle are nature forest walks, sky way/zip-lines, specialty bird watching, camping and accommodation. After a day’s involvement in selected activities of the beautiful forest, you are led to spend an overnight at Griffin Falls accommodation facility/ Hotel in Jinja.
Day 2: Source of River Nile and/or White-water rafting
After a delicious forest breakfast, a drive is made to the longest river Nile in the world – the Mighty Nile. After the briefing, we set off to the starting point of White-water rafting. This is better if a full-day course is done. It takes about 6-7 hours.
If time allows, a boat ride is taken to the point where one of the earliest explorers in Uganda – John Speke named the source of the Nile. On the boat cruise you are to see the numerous water birds like Cormorants, Pelicans, Storks, King fishers among others.
After this rewarding visit a drive is made back to Kampala city or Entebbe, reaching late in the evening though!
