Drive from Entebbe/Kampala in the morning with your 13 Days Uganda Big 5 Safari guide to Kidepo Valley National Park, you will break your journey at Nakitoma – Ziwa Sanctuary, do a walking Safari to explore the Rhinos and the rear Shoe-bill stock, lunch at the restaurant, later continue the journey to Gulu town via the Karuma falls, you will arrive in time to check in your hotel, relax or do a walk to explore the beauty of Uganda’ 2^nd largest northern town that had been devastated by the long northern conflict of the 1990s. Day 3: Gulu – Kitgum – Kidepo Valley National Park – evening game drive

After our breakfast we will embark on a journey further North – East of Uganda via Kitgum to Kidepo valley National Park. Our 13 Days Uganda Big 5 Safari drive is through the breathtaking landscape, Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa.

This park is surrounded by hills and rocky grounds, expect not to miss the wildlife in this area like the Elephants, herds of Buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Klipspringer, and possibly Lions; you also have an opportunity to visit the lions Rock, where you can even opt to camp in the wild if interested.

You also have a great opportunity to capture your best pictures if you’re a photography lover, we will arrive in time enough for check-in and have lunch, thereafter we will embark on an evening game drive to explore the above-mentioned, and return in time for dinner and overnight. Day 4 of 13 Days Big 5 Safari to Uganda & Gorilla Trekking Tour: Kidepo Valley National Park – Game drive – Community visit/Experience (Dodoth, Napolians)

After early morning breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring where a variety of animals and birds can be seen roving around like the fast-running Ostrich. You will continue with the game drive with the 13 Days Uganda Big 5 Safari guide that will take you through the Narus Valley to see herds of Buffaloes, Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Lions and if lucky the leopard and the elusive cheetah, several stops will be made to allow for photographs of fabulous wildlife and birds, return for lunch, in the evening you will go for a cultural tour in the Karamojong community, a wonderful evening with Karamojong people giving an insight of their way of life and beliefs. Day 5: Kidepo Valley National Park – transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – evening game drive

Have an early breakfast and as we drive out of the park, view a variety of fauna and flora species in the park, shortly we will be out of the park through beautiful sceneries across the Savannah hills, small forests, and dry river beds, and rings of mountains.

Beautiful northern homestead setting form memories of the drive, we will have lunch along the way before we finally enter Murchison Falls National Park from the northern sector, a slow game drive as we head to the jet to cross the Nile to the southern sector to check in our lodge, time for dinner will be almost nearing, later overnight. Day 6: Murchison Falls National Park – Game drive – boat cruise – Hike to the Top of the Falls

This morning have breakfast as you set off to explore the beauty of the park by taking a game drive in the Nyamsika plateau located on the North bank of the park, break for lunch and then take a fabulous relaxing two-hour boat trip to the bottom of the falls, at this point you will get off the boat meet your 13 Days Uganda Big 5 Safari guide then start a hike to the top of the fall, view the Magnificent Murchison Falls from the top, you will observe the 7-meter gorge together with a 43-meter drop of the falls resulting into a thunderous roar and a gorgeous rainbow in a cloud of water sprays which leaves several tourists yearning! your driver will pick you up from the top of the Falls to drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight. After breakfast take a long ride over hills, down valleys, through villages and trading centers, a short stopover in Hoima Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom to explore part of the Ugandan traditional culture, lunch, and later proceed to Kibale Forest National Park via Fort Portal town, check-in at the hotel, we will make use part of our evening to do a community/forest walk in Bigodi before we embark to our hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 8 of 13 Days Big 5 Safari to Uganda: Kibale Forest National Park – Chimpanzee Trekking – Queen Elizabeth National Park – evening game drive

An early breakfast, drive to Kibale forest for an early morning chimpanzee tracking infamous Africa’s largest hardwood forest, the forest is home to 13 primate species, birds, and many other forest animal species, return for lunch and thereafter drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park along the foothills of Rwenzori Mountain, down to the Kasese, a short stop at the equator, do an evening game drive in the Kasenyi sector, later drive to the lodge for check-in, diner and overnight.

An early morning breakfast set off for a game drive, your 13 Days Uganda Big 5 Safari guide will search and point out wild animals as he leads you to the various habitats of game, return for lunch at the Lodge, and later in the afternoon take a boat ride on Kazinga Channel to see birds, semi- and aquatic animals that rely on the channel for their livelihood, after you will do a community walk as you will be led to explore the livelihood of the community that hosts you, return to the lodge for community entertainment, dinner and, (optional 3 hour night guided game drive depending on your strength and interest), stay or return at the lodge for your overnight. Day 11: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Gorilla Trekking – evening community walk/experience

On this day you will have a great time meeting with the Mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest! After a tasty breakfast, your 13 Days Uganda Big 5 Safari guide will pick you up from the lodge, head for briefing, and later enjoy the fullness of the mist forest as you see the gentle giants and other wildlife species like buffaloes, elephants, monkeys, butterflies, and different bird species.

Only 1 hour is permitted to you with the gorillas. Trekking takes about 1 hour to 8 hours based on the location of these gentle giants. After the trek, in the evening you could go for a guided nature walk or a community visit, return to the lodge for dinner, and overnight.

Day 12 of 13 Days Big 5 Safari to Uganda: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Lake Mburo National Park – evening game drive

Pick up by your guide and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, which is among Uganda’s smallest Savannah national parks. It was upgraded as a national park in 1983 covering an area of 371 sq km and home to over 332 species of birds, and animals like buffaloes, Oribis, Kobs, warthogs, and zebras among others. Upon arrival, you will check in at the lodge, and later head for a guided nature walk through the park. Have dinner and an overnight stay. (Meal Plan on F/B)
