Detailed 7 Days 1 Week Uganda Safari

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda

At Entebbe International Airport you will meet our company representative to take you to your hotel for check-in. You will learn about the country and the entire safari park and relax at the hotel.

Day 2 of 7 Days 1 Week Uganda Safari: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Early morning drive from Kampala or Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park. Passing through the cities of Masaka and Lyantonde, you will be standing on both hemispheres at the same time after visiting the equator! Enjoy the water experience by taking a series of photos. Admire the grasslands, herds of animals, banana plantations, and of course the smiling faces of young and old people waving “muzungu how are you” in the mountains of western Uganda! Sometimes “give me money”.

Geography is amazing and amazing! After arrival, have lunch at our lodge in the afternoon and start your journey to the lake for a boat ride. Here you will see many aquatic animals like crocodiles, hippos, water birds, and various animals.

Day 3 of 7 Days 1 Week Uganda Safari: Morning safari or safari. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The sunrise will be a beautiful wake-up call as you will be able to see it rise from the eastern part of the earth. Start your game drive after breakfast or you can choose a walk to see animals like common zebras, impalas, oribis, topis, eland, buffalo, and birds like machete beaks, acacia frogs, red-backed bushbucks in Sri Lanka, and to the south, you can see the pronghorn and gray-crowned cranes (Uganda’s national bird). After this game, proceed to the impenetrable Bwindi National Park.

Day 4 of 7 Days 1 Week Uganda Safari: Gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

This morning you will head to the park headquarters to receive a briefing and start tracking the gorillas. Bwindi is a stunning forest with dramatic dense forests and lush landscapes with many animal trails passing through and letting visitors in.

Keep an eye out for rare animals such as golden monkeys, buffalo, leopards, elephants, bush ducks, black-fronted ducks, and giant wild boars as you track Bwindi gorillas. Gorilla trekking is exhausting, but watching and spending time with mountain gorillas is an extraordinary and inspiring experience. They were shy and calm – an unforgettable experience.

Day 5 of 7 Days 1 Week Uganda Safari: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, proceed to the Ishasha area of ​​the Queen Elizabeth National Park where you might have a chance to see “tree lions”. These big cats have been found sleeping comfortably on branches, especially fig trees. At the same time, you can see leopards, the fastest antelope – topi, including vultures, Meyer’s parrots, and many other birds.

Check into the hotel while preparing lunch. After lunch, you can go on another game drive in the evening to increase your chances of seeing more wildlife or relaxing at the lodge.

Day 6 of 7 Days 1 Week Uganda Safari: Transfer to Kasenyi district of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Boat trip along the Kazinga Channel

Drive north to Kasenyi Plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Walk through the parking area adjacent to the Maramagambo Forest where you can see many rare and common primates such as blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, and more.

Arrive in the afternoon and check into your hotel for lunch, or drive directly to the jetty at Kazinga Channel to start your Channel cruise, depending on your arrival time at the park. In Kazinga Channel, you will see many aquatic animals including giant Nile crocodiles, chilling hippos, lizards, and many water birds like terns, kingfishers, herons, cormorants, and more.

Sometimes we see elephants swimming and cape buffaloes gulping down gallons of water. After this activity, you can take a misty game drive to the lodge, but there is an option to pass through the crater for a beautiful view of the park and the magical crater or go straight to the lodge to relax.

Day 7 of 7 Days 1 Week Uganda Safari: Do an Early Morning game drive and drive to Kampala

Enjoy an early morning game drive along Kasenyi tracks of this “medley of wonders”. Some of the animals you will see include Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbucks, leopards, spotted hyenas, kobs, warthogs, as well as lions, and many birds.

After this activity, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight. Reaching in the evening, you will pass through big towns like Mbarara, Lyantonde, and Masaka. Time allowing, you may stop at the equator and do some shopping for souvenirs to take home.

Meal plan: Lunch en route at Mbarara or the Equator.
