Detailed 5 Days Murchison Falls Safari Uganda Wildlife Tour
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel
Upon arrival at the airport, our professional guide will meet you. Transfer to the hotel and briefing to prepare for the trip. Overnight at Victoria Royal Beach Hotel (Mid-Class) / 2 Friends Guest House (Mid-Class) / Protea Hotel (Luxury).
Day 2 of 5 Days Murchison Falls Safari in Uganda: Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
The day is characterized by the main activities; a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – White Rhino Sanctuary, where rhinos were bred, a species that became extinct during the turbulent years of Uganda’s political history, and then released into the wilderness in the once-existing Murchison and Kidepo Valley Parks.
These rhinos, imported from Kenya and the United States, cover an area of 70 square kilometers, and visitors can get a good overview of the animals. After the activity proceeds to Amuka Lodge for lunch and rest. Overnight at Amka Hotel.
Day 3 of 5 Days Murchison Falls Safari in Uganda: Shoebill Cruise and Chimpanzee Trekking.
Today we got up early in the morning, went to the swamps, and took a boat ride to find the phantom pencil which is the most sought-after bird in Uganda apart from African osprey, Haddad’s ibis, brown parrot, and others. Return to the hotel at noon for a swim or drink in the pool while we wait for lunch.
After brunch, continue to Masindi town with a short stop in the town for lunch. Entering through the Kichumbayo Gate, the park travels through the dense Budongo Rainforest, home to primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons, Abyssinian hornbill, and other rare forest birds.
Approximately 1300 hours to reach Budongo forest for preparation and afternoon chimpanzee trekking. It is amazing and exciting to see these closest monkeys in their natural environment, playing, grooming, socializing, or feeding! Transfer to the interior of Murchison Falls National Park overnight after the chimpanzee trek.

Day 4 of 5 Days Murchison Falls Safari in Uganda: Murchison Falls Uganda Tour – Safari and Water Cruise. Hike to the top of the waterfall.
After the ferry crossing, there is an early game drive on the north bank of the Nile. The park is dotted with Borassus palms, acacia species for elephant food, and Rothschild’s giraffes and the drive allows us to see elephants, savanna Cape buffalo, Lelwell’s hartebeests, and Ugandan copper. Birds such as the African hoopoe, eagle, and white-backed vulture.
Fortunately, elusive felines such as lions and leopards can be seen near the delta where the Nile flows into Lake Albert. The highlight of the safari is the sight of several semi-aquatic hippos resting after a night of grazing at the “river pond”. Afternoon cruise on the waters of the Nile visiting the downstream waterfalls. Various animals like sambar and elephants can be seen. Nile crocodiles can be seen basking on the banks of the river.
There are 2 options: hike to the top of the falls and see the world’s most powerful waterfall grow from the bottom up, or take a boat back to the pier. The top of the waterfall marks the climax of the day’s excursion. At the waterfall, you experience a 45-meter thundering 400 cubic meter drop that pushes through a 7-meter narrow rock gorge at a very high speed. In the evening, transfer to the desired accommodation.

Day 5 of 5 Days Murchison Falls Safari in Uganda: Drive back to Kampala
You can choose to go on an early morning game drive before leaving the park or go directly from our hotel through Budongo Forest as we drive back to Kampala City/Entebbe Airport. Lunch en route, possibly dinner in Kabalega or any hotel along the way. The journey can take between 4 and 6 hours depending on the traffic on the road.
