Herds of elephants roam the magnificent landscapes accompanied by lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, baboons, gazelles, hippos, and wildebeest. There are also over 400 species of birds, a variety of reptiles, plants, and animals, and some of the most introspective landscapes in Africa. Dinner and overnight at
Amboseli Sopa Lodge (breakfast lunch dinner)
Main destination: Amboseli National Park
Day 2 of 10 Days Complete Kenya Safari: Amboseli National Park
Wake up before dawn for an unforgettable sunrise game drive in the park. Mount Kilimanjaro never looks so beautiful in the morning and predators like leopards, lions, and cheetahs can also be seen in the cool morning air.
They don’t call Amboseli the Royal Court of Kilimanjaro for nothing, and as you admire its huge herd of elephants and its stunning panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro, you’ll understand why this is Kenya’s most popular pass.
After the morning drive and breakfast, rest at the hotel for a few hours and head back to the park in the afternoon. Since these animals are mostly inactive during the hot lunch hours, you can take a break and then chase them out into the cool afternoon air.
Day 3 of 10 Days Complete Kenya Safari: Amboseli National Park – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After a picnic lunch, leave Amboseli after breakfast and drive to Ol Pejeta Reserve, sometimes called Sweetwater. The drive not only takes you through bustling Nairobi and then the beautiful Kikuyu farms but also to the foot of Mount Kenya, Kenya’s highest peak.
On arrival at Ol Peyeta, you will visit the park’s famous chimpanzee reserve, meet the adopted residents and take a leisurely evening walk into the park.
Day 4: Ol Pejeta Reserve – Samburu Game Reserve
Heading north to the rugged and semi-arid Samburu, you’ll swap the famous safari attraction for another.
The park is known for its unique landscape and familiar faces such as leopards, lions, antelopes, and giraffes – the park’s real claim to fame is its ‘special five’ animals that you won’t find anywhere else in Kenya. These include; the Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, long-haired African antelope, and the best antelope. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive in this unique park
Day 5 of 10 Days Complete Kenya Safari – Samburu Wildlife Reserve
You will have a full day to explore the park in search of rare inhabitants and animals such as leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, antelopes, and more.
Although Samburu is smaller than other Kenyan parks and reserves, its diverse wildlife tends to congregate near the life-giving Ewaso Ng’iro River, making it an ideal place for camping and game viewing.
Day 6: Samburu Game Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park in the Great Rift Valley. Formerly known for its flamingos, the park is now known for large herds of buffalo and black and white rhinoceros. You will enjoy a hot lunch at your hotel before taking an afternoon walk along the lake shore to see baboons, buffalo, lions, leopards, eland, waterbuck, and more.
Day 7 of 10 Days Complete Kenya Safari: Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Bogoria – Lake Naivasha
It’s a day of exploring the lakes and visiting two of the most beautiful lakes in Kenya. After breakfast, depart from Lake Nakuru to the hot springs and geysers of Lake Bogoria.
The lake itself is also home to nearly 2 million flamingos, and the local spas have hot springs and swimming pools where you can relax. After lunch, proceed to Lake Naivasha for an afternoon boat ride to view the lake’s hippos and waterfowl. At the end of the day, you will return to your Lake Naivasha accommodation.
Day 8: Naivasha – Masai Mara
After breakfast, depart Lake Naivasha and drive south to Kenya’s most famous park; Massai Mara.
Part of the great plains of the Serengeti, the Maasai Mara hosts the famous wildebeest migration every year, when 1.7 million wildebeest and more than 500,000 zebras and antelopes cross the swollen Mara River in the hope of crossing the Maasai Mara. Find safety in the great plains. Even without the wildebeest trekking, you still have the chance to see all of the Big Five, as well as Kenya’s largest animal species.
After lunch at the hotel, go on afternoon and sunset drives in search of big cats, elephants, giraffes, and more.
Day 9 of 10 Days Complete Kenya Safari: Masai Mara
Wake up before dawn for a unique opportunity to see the sunrise in the Masai Mara. After a cup of coffee, you head to the park to see the sun light up the prairie and the big cats take advantage of the morning chill to find food.
You can also take a hot air balloon ride and take to the skies before enjoying a champagne breakfast with wildlife on the plains. Ask your Safari Expert to add a Hot Air Balloon Safari to your adventure.
You will then return to the lodge for brunch, then pack a picnic lunch and then return to the park to spend the day exploring the Maasai Mara. Alternatively, you can choose to relax at the hotel in the morning, have lunch on site, and hit the road again in the afternoon when the weather cools down.
Day 10: Masai Mara – Nairobi
After breakfast, you say goodbye to Masai Mara and return to Nairobi to continue your journey
