Where to Adventure on the 7 Days Kenya Safari Trip (Off the Rails)

Aberdale National Park “Majestic peaks, wilderness and stunning waterfalls”

Picturesque, steep wooded gorges, and open moorland are the hallmarks of Aberdale National Park. The park provides a habitat for elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, water buffalo, warthogs, and antelopes. Giant wild boars, bongos, golden cats, and mallards are rarely seen. Visitors can enjoy picnicking, trout fishing in the river, and camping on the moor. Bird watching is rewarding and the park is home to more than 250 species of birds, including Jackson’s partridge, sparrow hawk, goshawk, hawk, grouse, and buzzard.

Samburu National Reserve – 7 Days Kenya Safari Trip

In the southern corner of the Samburu district, in the Rift Valley. It is located in the semi-desert Samburu National Reserve and is named after the Samburu people who have lived in the area for many years.

The word Samburu comes from the Maasai word for Samburu, a traditional leather bag used to transport honey and milk. The life-giving Evasco Ng’iro River flows through the park. Taking its name from the local language meaning brown or muddy water, the river attracts a large number of Kenyan animals to the reserve. This unfenced park is relatively small compared to other parks in Kenya such as Tsavo and Masai Mara. Mountains can be seen around the reserve. Kotor and Ololokwe are the best options for trekking and camping. Samburu National Reserve is a great destination for cultural tours, especially in the village of Samburu.

There are quite a few women and children in the village. These are people who have escaped or become victims of various kinds of atrocities that are dangerous to them, most of which are vulgar cultural norms. Samburu has several exciting tourism activities like dusty road safaris, wild dogs, nature walks, sightseeing, bird watching, and trekking. Africa’s first community-owned and managed elephant sanctuary: Reteti Elephant Sanctuary

Great Rift Valley Viewpoint and Lake Nakuru National Park

The Great Rift Valley is a series of continuous geographic trenches that stretch across the Middle East and Africa from Jordan to Mozambique. The spectacular views are incredible as you approach Nairobi. The land suddenly disappears underfoot, stretching for thousands of kilometers in both directions. A great start to the Great Rift Valley in Kenya seems to be the most amazing part of the experience as it dives deep into the Rift Valley Lake System.

The Rift Valley Viewpoint is always a great place to stop, stretch and take moving pictures. Here you can see the enchanting Rift Valley with its vast vegetation and the sun in the distance. The nearby mountains meet the predictable edge of the land, giving it an abstract painterly feel.

There are many lakes around the viewpoint namely Baringo, Bagoria, Nakuru, Elementaita, and Naivasha. All of them are unique and support an amazing amount of Kenyan wildlife. Saline Bagoria is sometimes home to large flocks of lesser flamingos and has more real geysers than any other region of its size in the world. This area is known for hiking, trekking, game viewing, photography, guided Crater Lake walks, picnic lunches, bird watching, golf, and community visits.

The Great Rift Valley is truly a wonder of the world. It stretches from the Middle East to Africa. It has a large part in East Africa and ends with Mozambique in the south.

Maasai Mara National Reserve – 7 Days Kenya Safari Trip

This is a huge game reserve in the semi-arid Narok region of Kenya. It borders the Serengeti National Park in the Mara region of Tanzania. It is named after the Maasai people, the ancestral inhabitants of the area. Mara means maa found in the Maasai language. The Masai Mara is known for its unique wildlife population and wildebeest migration to and from the Serengeti during the dry season from July to October each year.

This is often called the Great Migration. A visit to the reserve is an adventure in a cultural tour with one of the oldest inhabitants of East Africa, the Maasai. This noble tribe is one of the few where we preserve most of our traditions. It features a team of traditional dancers who perform a bell and dance response, perhaps their most famous dance being the Big Wood Dance or rather the Leap Dance.

You can join in the dance as these agile male dancers leap higher and higher to the beat of the captivating music that accompanies their dance moves. There are several tourist activities in Masai Mara. These include hot air balloons over the reserve, safaris, nature walks, bird watching, field trips, guided bush walks, and trekking.
