Day 4: Arusha and transfer to Lake Manyara

After breakfast, join the Hadzabe Bushmen to find their food. The Hadzabe are one of the last true Bushman tribes in Africa, and despite Tanzania’s rapid growth, their lives go on as they always have. With only 2,000 members, the Hadzabe tribes are fascinating people who give us a window into the lives of Tanzania’s past.

Local hunters will prepare us for demonstrations of hunting techniques. Far from being a show, the exhibition reveals a lot about their everyday life where they have to hunt animals to feed their family. You’ll witness for yourself how the Hades monkeys use unique movements and even specific animal body parts to lure their prey close enough to hit them with their handmade venom.

After lunch, there is an opportunity to drive around Lake Eyasi. While this shallow soda lake is home to the variety of wildlife you’ll find in the national park, you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of bird and mammal life. Flamingos and hippos can sometimes be found here.

Day 5: Lake Manyara and Serengeti

We must have an early breakfast as we have an important day of exploration and adventure ahead of us.
